Autumn in Cherry Class
In Cherry Class this term we have been settling into our new class and, for some, a new classroom and school. In science and literacy, we have been learning all about animals and how we keep them healthy as well as the features of these animals. We have also been reading fantasy stories and learning how to show our ideas through different forms of writing including diary entries and re-writing/retelling the ending of stories we have read. We have been very busy with our numbers and have been practicing writing, adding and subtracting the numbers we have learnt.
We have been looking at what characters have been doing and how they have been feeling in stories. We have also suggested places that Beegu the alien may have liked to visit in London. We also made space-ships during an enrichment session to help Beegu find her way home.
In our topic this term, we have been exploring our school and our local area and coming up with ways to make it better.
All the children in Cherry Class have had a busy but enjoyable first half term back.
