Autumn in Willow Class
We have had a very busy and enjoyable term in Willow Class.
In Topic we have been learning about Italy with focus on the Vesuvius Volcano and Venice. We enjoyed making the map of the country and also loved cooking delicious pizza. We also looked at the famous Brazilian carnivals and spent time making colourful masks for the procession.
In Maths we learned about reading and writing one digit and 2 digit numbers. We also focused on number bonds to 10 and 20 that will help us to add and subtract. Furthermore we learned about money, in particular to read and write the value of English coins. We have also been learning to place 2 digit numbers on a number line.
In Science we learned about Electricity and how it works. We drew objects that use electricity and we made circuits using bulbs, wires, batteries and buzzers.
In Literacy we read the story “The Huge Bag of Worries” and children enjoyed talking about their own feelings and worries.
